Here’s How I Automated It — Step by Step

We’re all told we need fancy tools to do email outreach.
You know the ones:

Big dashboards, email limits, confusing automations, and a monthly bill. 🥴

But you don’t need any of that.

All you need is:

• A Google Sheet
• Make.com
• ChatGPT API
• And your Gmail account

That’s it.

Step 1: Set Up Your Google Sheet

Just 3 columns:

• Name
• Email
• Company or service niche

Add your leads. Keep it clean.

This sheet is your command center.

Step 2: Connect Google Sheets to Make.com

Make.com is like Zapier but way more powerful (and free to start).
In Make.com:

• Set a trigger: Watch new rows in Google Sheets
• This tells Make: Whenever I add someone, start the automation

Now it’s listening. 👂

Step 3: Use ChatGPT to Write a Personalized Email

In the next step of your Make scenario:

• Use the ChatGPT API (or Gemini)
• Add a prompt like:

Write a friendly email to {{name}} from {{company}}.  
They run a dental practice.  
Mention that I help dentists build clean, fast websites that bring in more patients.  
Keep it short and human.  
Start with a compliment or positive tone.  
Let them know their practice deserves a better online presence.  
Mention how a modern website can help grow their client base.  
Add a curious tone — don’t oversell.  
Invite them to check out my service or reply if they’re open to chatting.  
Sign off casually, like a helpful professional, not a salesperson.
Limit to 100 words. Make it natural and personalized.

Make sends this data to ChatGPT, and it writes your email — unique, every time.

Step 4: Send It with Gmail

Now connect Gmail inside Make.com:

• Use the output from ChatGPT as the body
• Pull the email address from the Sheet
• Hit send automatically

That’s it.
