I’ve known a lot of business owners, innovators, and entrepreneurs. Everybody today is working on their own idea, app, ecommerce store, or product that is supposed to be extremely good – just that people don’t see it, or don’t see it yet. They use all sorts of tricks of the trade from a digital marketing handbook. They do SEO, they run PPC ads, they do social media campaigns, and they do everything in between, some even resorting to shady, gray-hat techniques to outperform their competitors.

But nobody seems to be satisfied with their approach. Their strategy is off, it feels. But why is that? One warm afternoon we sat down with Aleksandr Suchkov on a video call. He was in Dubai. His company, Stergo Media, handles big clients internationally and does digital marketing for them.

Here’s what the self-taught innovator and entrepreneur with a knack for finding opportunities had to say to our questions.

Q: How have you managed to give results to your clients against their competitors’ marketing efforts?

A: Well, I’ve always been someone who was good at spotting opportunities. Now, I just use my team of specialists to also capitalize on them. I’ve been hustling on the internet since I was very young. This has developed a keen sense in me. I can see these marketing opportunities, and I leverage them for our clients.

Q: What qualities are the most important to win big?

A: I always tell people to be good in perseverance and focus on achieving their goals. I learned this very early in life while others wasted their time on futile activities. Running a business is serious stuff. You can’t be demotivated by a minor setback. Instead, persevere in the face of all calamity.

Also, entrepreneurs need to be good at leadership skills and communication. I’ve seen bad communication break teams that were otherwise overqualified to handle their job. No workflow can be efficient if the leader is not adept in delegating, supervising, being a friend, mentoring, and most importantly, communicating clearly and openly.

Q: What are some tools you’d recommend new business owners try?

A: I’d certainly recommend looking into social media scheduling tools to stop relying on the native scheduling that these platforms provide – which is clunky at best and haphazard at worst. It simply allows you to manage everything from a central dashboard.

I also recommend AI tools such as for copywriting, design tools like Canva, and you must have a whole list of royalty-free image providers. My favorites are Unsplash, Pexels, and Pixabay. For sound, we often resort to the YouTube Audio Library and Bensound. There are simply too many free resources and software to help business owners. Analytics, SEO audit tools, you name it. It depends on what kind of business are you running.

Lastly, I’d also say you should try out an SMM panel. They can be the much-needed boost that your business deserves.

After all, all ideas are just undiscovered gems if you have no followers!
