A roadmap for shifting to Digital Marketing
Once upon a time, there was a woman named Rama. She was forced to quit her job and forget about her career due to life changes, marriage, being a mum, and living in Saudi Arabia for years but she was uncomfortable, she couldn’t help feeling unfulfilled. She was scared to struggle to balance her work and family life, as she doesn’t want to be missing out on precious moments with her children. Rama longed for something new, exciting, and challenging and allowing her to use her creativity while maintaining a life/work balance.
One day, Rama stumbled upon a digital marketing course online” Udacity Digital Marketing Nanodegree”. Intrigued, she decided to sign up, as she thought that was tailored for her, hoping to learn something new and perhaps find a new career path that would allow her to work more flexibly. and what followed changed her life forever.
Through the course, Rama discovered a whole new world of possibilities. She learned about Content Marketing, Media Buying, E-Mail Marketing, SEO, Social Media Marketing, and much more. She was amazed at how the digital world was rapidly evolving, and how businesses were increasingly relying on digital marketing strategies to reach their audience. She realized that these channels offered businesses a way to reach customers in ways that traditional marketing methods couldn’t.
Rama soon realized that digital marketing was not only exciting but was also a high-demand field. As she researched more, she discovered that any business can’t survive without digital marketing it’s like opening a business but not telling anyone. she also discovered that digital marketing offered a great deal of flexibility. Many digital marketers worked remotely, and this meant that they could create a schedule that allowed them to spend more time with their families.
Feeling inspired, Rama took the leap and started searching for workshops and applying all that she learned. She started applying for digital marketing roles, and despite her lack of experience, she landed an entry-level position.
At first, Rama found the work challenging. There was so much to learn, and she often felt overwhelmed. But she persevered, working long hours to hone her skills and develop her expertise. Also, she found the learning curve steep, but she was determined to succeed. She immersed herself in her work, learning new skills and techniques every day. She worked with passion as she really loved what she was doing. As it allowed her to work even more flexibly and be there for her children when they needed her.
As she dug more, Rama was introduced to more techniques, She learned some about graphic design, worked with clients, developed strategies, and managed accounts.
Looking back, Rama couldn’t believe how much she had achieved in such a short time. She had found a new passion, a new sense of purpose, and a new career. She was grateful that she had taken the leap and changed her career to digital marketing.
Today, Rama is a successful digital marketer, with a thriving career that has allowed her to use her creativity and passion to help businesses grow. She’s grateful that she took the leap and made the career change that has allowed her to work more flexibly and spend more time with her family.
