It has been nearly a quarter century since the commercial use of the Internet and the World Wide Web. During this time the business outlook has changed at a frenetic pace. Large multinational corporations such as Google, Facebook, Amazon, eBay, and Uber, unheard of twenty years ago, have emerged as key players in our latest economy. In 2015, online sales accounted for 7.4% of overall retail while away in the U.S., the best percentage seeing that monitoring started in 1999. Sales made through cellular gadgets have increased at a rapid rate to around 22% to 27% of all online sales. Corporations now spotlight the significance of making a “virtual relationship” with customers. Moreover, virtual technology and gadgets inclusive of smartphones, smart products, the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, and deep studying all promise significant transformations in consumers’ lives shortly. It is in opposition to this backdrop that this paper seeks to understand how the developments in digital technology are reshaping the procedure and the approach of marketing, and the results of this variation for studies in the extensive area we call “virtual marketing”.Our goals for this paper are three-fold. First, we broaden and describe a framework study in virtual advertising and marketing that highlights the touchpoints inside the advertising and marketing technique as well as in the marketing strategy process where digital technologies are having and/or will have a significant impact.
