My Checklist For Etsy Success in 2023

I’ve doing Etsy for a few months now but it’s just in the past month that I’ve started to get serious about how to handle my store. These are 14 things I do and will continue to do in 2023.
- Personalization is the hottest thing on Etsy.
- Keep the designs simple but modern.
- Know Your Customer — target specific groups in your listing.
- Cram different options within the same concept into one listing — different colors, maybe different fonts etc.
- Use all the 10 allowed images and add a video if you can.
- Let one of those photos be about sizing if applicable.
- The main image have to be beautiful but can just as well be a mockup as your own photo.
- The Title must be SEO optimized and researched properly.
- Research tags properly and use all that are allowed.
- Keep the description of the product short and fact based. Don’t sprinkle it with adjectives like “great, beautiful, stylish”, etc.
- Put a price on your product with a good profit margin (don’t forget that Etsy takes 6,5% of what you sell). Use discounts as a strategy go get to a more “normal” price level.
- Update your store regularly.
- Communication is one of the most important factors in becoming a star seller. Just as important as displaying your product accurately in your listing.
- Use Etsy ads until you are a star seller.
