Best Digital Marketing Bootcamps Of 2024 – Forbes Advisor – Forbes

Bootcamps may cost less than traditional degree programs in general, but they still charge thousands in tuition. Here’s how to pay for a digital marketing bootcamp.

How Much Is a Digital Marketing Bootcamp?

Bootcamp costs vary by program, but upfront tuition prices for online bootcamps range from $1,500 to $23,000, according to data collected by Forbes Advisor. Tech bootcamps cost a median of $8,300 in total tuition.

The top digital marketing programs on this list cost between $3,250 and $6,725 in upfront tuition, making them relatively inexpensive compared to other types of bootcamps.

Upfront Payment

Paying for your tuition upfront is usually the most cost-effective option if you can afford to pay in a lump sum. Bootcamp providers typically offer a discounted rate for this payment method.

Pay in Installments

Most bootcamps allow students to pay their tuition in installments, either monthly or in other intervals. This option usually costs more over time than paying upfront.

Income Share Agreement

An income share agreement (ISA) is a financing option with no upfront costs. Students take out a loan for the cost of their bootcamp and agree to repay the debt with a fixed percentage of their future income for a set period of time.

ISAs may be a viable alternative for students who do not qualify for other types of loans. Still, exercise caution when considering an ISA. You’ll be required to pay a set percentage of your income regardless of how much you make, and you could end up paying twice the upfront cost of your digital marketing bootcamp. Plus, missed payments can come with stiff penalties.

Job Guarantee

Some bootcamps offer job guarantees to ensure job placement after graduation. A job guarantee refunds graduates who don’t land qualifying jobs within a specific period, often six months, after graduation.

It’s important to read the fine print before committing to a bootcamp with a job guarantee. To be eligible, students must fulfill specific requirements such as attendance, completing assignments and maintaining a certain performance level.

Loans, Scholarships and Other Aid

Federal student aid, such as grants and loans, is generally unavailable for digital marketing bootcamp students. However, some bootcamp providers feature scholarships to provide financial assistance to students. They may also partner with private lenders to offer flexible loans with low-interest rates.

Military veterans may qualify to use their GI Bill® benefits to fund tuition for certain bootcamps. Similarly, the Veteran Employment Through Technology Education Courses (VET TEC) program may help fund bootcamp tuition. To find out if a program qualifies for military assistance, check the Veterans Affairs website.
