This blogpost template is designed to reach audiences who are new to a concept or aspect related to your product/solution. It discusses what the topic is, why it’s important to the reader, and how they can take actionable steps to discovering related solutions/products (like yours!). This is geared specifically to the Awareness phase of the buyer’s journey.

Feel free to copy and make adjustments to this template for your own marketing, using the comments and suggestions below as a guide.

Beginner’s Guide Blogpost Title

In the first few sentences, write an easy to understand definition of the concept or topic, introducing your reader to what it is you will be discussing in this article. You will also want to briefly explain how the concept is used, and why it is important to your reader. Consider how the topic might relate to the reader’s goals or current challenges and pain points.

Then, give a brief overview of the rest of the article and tease what readers will be able to accomplish by the end of the article.

First Section: “What is Concept?”

In the first main section of your blogpost, offer a more in-depth description of the topic. This is a great place to use a real-life example to make the concept more relatable for the reader.

Explain further why the concept is relevant to the reader, and how it is used in your segment/field/industry. Discuss possible challenges the reader may be having related to the concept, or how the concept can be used to help ease other pain points they are experiencing. Alternatively, discuss how the concept might be broken up into a few different or smaller categories and aspects.

To make reading easier, you might want to include a list to highlight different benefits or uses of the concept (these could also be items you will discuss later in the article).

At the end of this section, let the reader know that they will learn more about the details and specifics of the concept in the rest of the article.

Second Section: A Specific Aspect of the Concept

Provide a description of this aspect, and discuss why it is important, beneficial, or challenging. You can offer another example, or continue with the same one used above, if applicable.

A subsection for an actionable step

Use this section to briefly offer an actionable step the reader can take related to the topic and to this aspect of it. Perhaps they need to assess their current situation regarding the concept, in which case you could provide a checklist of items to review. Or maybe they should visit a webpage or landing page to learn more, in which case you should provide them with a link and let them know what they can expect to find out.

Repeat these sections and subsections as needed to cover all the basics of the concept.

Conclusion Section: Tease Next Steps

Use the header of the conclusion to tease what the reader can now accomplish, having reached the end of the article. For example:

  • Improve your concept today!
  • Ready to start your concept journey?
  • Concept in three easy steps

Then, use the conclusion section to further expand on what the reader can do next to act upon what they have learned in the article. Review key takeaways they should have, and link to additional resources. You could add a CTA here to download a file or to visit your website.
