I was moonlighting from my day job back in the day and then BOOM! I was a millionaire…

This is longer than I intended, but worth the read IMO…

I just had one of my oldest childhood friends say he was
interested in getting involved with this system I joined and asked
what it would take. So I told him just 2 hrs a day and he
balked…then I said he could do it with one hr per day but
it will just take longer to succeed and he said he works
too much already and doesn’t have the time. We didn’t even
get to how much it would cost to get into the system!

I love the guy, but if he isn’t willing to make the time
sacrifice to get into a better position for his
retirement, he will not be where he wants to be in the
future…and that’s ok. To each his own.

Ask yourself if just 2 hrs a day is just too difficult to
deal with. I have worked insane hours over the years at
various times and without fail, anytime I have done this,
it has paid off. (and 2 hrs is NOT insane by any
stretch)…kill the TV at night or the endless social media
scrolling or get up earlier or go to bed later and POOF!
You will have the time as if it were magic. 😉

If you can’t put in the time, you won’t see the
transformation you want. Imagine what it is you
want…more money for the bills, retirement, a new car,
an unforgettable vacation for the whole family, college
tuition for your kids or grandkids?….

dealing with traffic back and forth to work…my commute
while living in Silicon Valley averaged 1.25 hrs each
way(minimum)…ugh. Highway 101 SUCKS during rush hour!

energy, the fuel to make it go…. Is 2hrs it too difficult
for you? 2 hrs a day is nothing in the larger scheme of
things…

Here is a little of my backstory to illustrate what I
mean….

I always had a goal of being a millionaire by the time I
was 30….I wasn’t entirely sure how I would do it as it
wasn’t as easy as it is now to make 7 figures.

Anyway, I was a Network Engineer making $110K per year
after paying my dues as a network/telephone technician for
several years. All of my knowledge was from on-the-job
training(back when companies were willing to do that) and
technical classes the companies offered to send me to get
certified on telephone systems and network gear.

I would go while others I worked with thought I was crazy.
They would say, “Hey Rod, your not getting paid to study
for those certifications”…all they wanted to do was go
drinking or watch the tube after work.(while my
certifications grew, so did my value to the company and
myself…(I would NEVER get laid off while my party friends
would be let go when times were tough)

I always had a side gig installing phone systems, network
wiring, and gear to make extra income…. I was making very
good money, but not on a millionaire’s pace yet….That was
my path until one of my side gigs turned into my first
millions….

I ended up being one of the early employees of Netscape back
in the day… the 12th person there (I was moonlighting from my
day job @ Silicon Graphics) but ended up being employee #44
at the mighty Netscape receiving founders’ stock @ 0.10 a share!
I worked insane hours as we were
growing exponentially and woke up more than one time with
drool on my keyboard and me passed out in my cube @4am.

And to top it off, I started another company at the same time
with one of my friends at Silicon Graphics (and his
brother-in-law) as we were told by Silicon Graphics HR
that we would not be welcome back to Silicon Graphics
because of who we were going to work for(this is a whole
other story for another time)…..so we hedged our bets by
starting one of the first commercial Internet Data Centers
along with assisting companies to get online(Yahoo, Pacific
Bell and Playboy Interactive were some of our first
customers)…That was my 2nd time millionaire status (was
supposed to be $30MM, but that’s another story too)

I could go on and on…. but the bottom line is that the
reason I am successful is that I am willing to do whatever
it takes to reach my goals, no matter what I am doing I try
to be the best, and know it takes TIME & Sacrifice.

And BTW, I was a millionaire for the first time when I was 29,
on August 9,1995 NSCP IPO’d @$28 per share…(I had lots of shares)
I wouldn’t be 30 until October of that year….whew! Just made
