Hey everyone! My name is Hasan Morshed. I will just pretend that this is an autobiographical essay on myself (Hasan Morshed).

Who is Hasan Morshed and what does he do?

I’m a digital marketer. I provide SEO and Google Ads services. Basically, I’m passionate about search engine optimization or search engine marketing (Google Ads/PPC).

I personally think search-based marketing is one of the best ways to promote businesses online. Especially Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

The intent of people is very clear when they search for something on Google.

For instance, someone is looking for a pair of running shoes for under 100 USD. And you have an eCommerce website that sells running shoes priced under 100 USD. If you can rank no. 1 on Google for that search term your products can be easily founded by ready-to-buy customers.

This is the power of SEO!

The same goes for Google search ads or also known as PPC. The only difference is you have to pay Google for traffic that comes from ads and SEO can get you traffic organically for free.

How did I get into SEO?

In 2018 building affiliate websites was a lucrative way to make money online. Everyone was building blog websites also known as niche sites to create a passive income in 2018. I and a friend of mine purchased a course on the affiliate website. I immediately started my blog website.

Unfortunately, that project was a failure! didn’t make any money at all from that website.

This made me absolutely nuts which later forced me to research more on SEO and how the Google search engine works.

I have no regrets about starting that site because it pushed me to go completely obsessed with SEO.

After a few months, I got myself a job as a junior SEO specialist in a local SEO agency.

Then came the pandemic in 2020 and I had to leave that job.

But it started creating new opportunities for me. I started getting some freelance work from here and there.

During this period I got the opportunity to work with some international companies.

A few months went like this and then I got myself a job as an SEO specialist in an SEO agency based in Baltimore, Maryland USA. That’s when I knew I have to take SEO as my career. I worked in that company for a while but had to leave that job to join University classes as the lockdown was withdrawn and regular classes started.

My Leadgen/Rank & Rent Journey

After working on many freelance SEO projects and client websites while I was working on my job I found local SEO very interesting.

Local SEO is when you try to rank a business or website for local search terms.

Examples of some local search terms are:

• SEO experts near me
• SEO agency in NYC

I found ranking for local search terms far less competitive than ranking for nationally or internationally used search terms.

That was the aha moment for me!

I also discovered that I can build tiny websites targeting local search terms and then rent them to actual business owners after ranking no. 1 Google.

It made me realize that I can also use these sites as my case studies/portfolio.

To this day I have 10 local lead gen/rank and rent sites in total and making passive income from them.

My Agency Journey

As some of you already know that building a digital marketing agency is a profitable business. I think I gathered enough experience to help other business owners rank higher on Google and increase their sales.

I just launched my SEO agency Megnoto Digital in 2023 and see how that goes. Maybe one day I will come back to this post to remember how my successful agency started! Haha.
