Change Hair To Get More Sales
Today should’ve been a “normal” morning…
The plan was this:
— Meet with my friend (let’s call him Dan) and go for a walk together. —
I was waiting for him near a green football (real football) camp and…
Something a little weird happened;
A stranger in the distance was greeting me. (Yes, that’s really unusual in my town.)
“Ciao,” I awkwardly responded and continued to wait for Dan…
… while pretending to look at my phone to keep an eye on the stranger.
He was coming my way…
“What does he want now?” I complained in my thoughts.
He was getting closer…
And closer…
And closer.
Until…
“How are you doing?” I heard a familiar voice coming from the stranger.
I raised my gaze to understand what was happening and…
“Wow! Have you cut your hair?!?”
I asked the stranger who in reality was Dan.
“Yeah… I mean, they were so annoying to dry after a shower,” he said and scratched the back of his head.
But I’m pretty sure the reason why he cut his hair was different…
He finally realized how ugly he was with the Rapunzel-long hair he had before.
And that’s the same mistake business owners are making every passing day.
They’re so fixated on maintaining their ugly Brand Voice… that don’t notice how many sales they’re losing.
I always hear them saying things like:
- “I need a marketer who can use my brand voice”
- “Looking for someone to write in my voice”
- “I have a very unique style, can you resemble it?”
And that would be great…
If your brand had a GOOD distinctive voice!
(That’s not the case 81% of the time.)
Most of the online business owners (especially course creators) I’ve worked with had a bland brand voice…
So bland that readers fell asleep after reading just the headline.

- There’s no clear brand voice
- It feels like you’re talking with a robot… and people don’t buy from robots
- It doesn’t establish any sort of relationship in the long-term
Now read this:
The promise is the same, but now it’s so much better:
- You can instantly understand the USP
- You can feel there’s a human on the other side
- People will never forget such a claim. Won’t they buy it the first time? They’ll do it the second time
And from my real-life experience, the second headline absolutely crushes the first one.
But how can you create and use a brand voice tailored to your audience?
Well, don’t expect any sort of “5-minute weird secret to finding your perfect brand voice…”
There’s nothing like that.
And to be honest… knowing the process won’t do much for you.
The secret ingredient to creating your ideal brand voice is not the process…
But the one who creates it.
Kinda like running:
Bolt can spill out his secrets to be so fast… but that won’t make you even half as fast as Bolt.
